Basic Information What is your affiliate program?It's a program by which you can earn substantial sales commissions. Simply place an appropriately-formatted Urangatang banner or text link on your site. When someone clicks that link and requests a price quote, we save your name as the sales associate of record. If the price quote turns into a paying order, you get paid. What's the difference between "affiliates" and "strategic partners"?The term "affiliate" refers to anyone who joins our program; the term "strategic partner" refers to only those professionals in the marketing, advertising and Internet businesses. Our affiliates are paid 5% of the total order, whereas our strategic partners are paid 12.5% of the order instead.
Financial Compensation What is the commission rate for strategic partners?It's a percentage that is based on our actual development costs. Typically, our strategic partners earn 12.5% of the total amount of the order. Therefore, on a $5000 project, you would earn $625. When will I get paid?When we get paid, you get paid. Urangatang issues payment checks 5 business days after we receive payment. Usually, our clients pay us in 2 (or possibly 3) payments. You will receive your checks in the proportional percentages. What is the commission rate for affiliates?It's a percentage that is based on our actual development costs. Typically, our strategic partners earn 5% of the total amount of the order. Therefore, on a $5000 project, you would earn $250. Will I receive commissions on repeat orders placed by the customer?Only if the customer again requests a price quote through a link on your site. Does it cost anything to join?No. It doesn't cost anything to join, to participate, or to earn. Is this taxable?Probably. It depends upon your tax bracket as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. Do I need to supply a Tax ID or Social Security Number right away?No, not really. As long as you provide it before we issue your first check, there's no problem with that. If you do earn a commission, but we haven't received your Tax ID or Social Security Number yet, we will let you know that we're holding a check for you. What form of payments do you make?We make all payments by company check. Is there a limit on how much I can earn?No, there is no limit.
Banners and Links Can I make my own banner?Yes, if you share a copy with us. We'll park it alongside our other banners and make it available to everyone. Can I resize your banner to fit my spacing requirements?Absolutely.
Miscellaneous Information Can I track the progress of a lead?Sorry, but no. Sales lead information is very sensitive. We don't want our competitors to sneak in and swipe our customers. But we promise to let you know when you've earned a commission and to issue payment to you promptly. Do you offer a banner exchange program?Sorry, but no. Can I advertise the fact that I'm associated with Urangatang?Yes, you may advertise that you are an "Affiliated Partner of Urangatang Web Design." Can I test out the system by requesting a price quote?No. We take our price quote requests seriously, and we become seriously displeased with people who monkey around in our system. Trust us; it works.
